COURSE DURATION : 6 months

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is for people who want to work as child-care workers in centre based and family day care. Workers may work under direct supervision or autonomously. In some settings may also have limited supervisory responsibilities of volunteers.

On completion of the course students may apply for advanced standing in Diploma of Children's Services.

COURSE DURATION : 1 year

COURSE OVERVIEW

This qualification covers workers who conduct vacation programmes and before and after school activities for children who are of school age.

On completion of the course you can apply for advanced standing in the Diploma of Out of School Hours Care.

COURSE DURATION : 1.5 years

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is for people who want to work as qualified child care workers in centre based and family day care.

On completion of this course you may apply for advanced standing at universities offering early childhood courses.

  • Establish, manage and monitor the implementation of a safe and healthy environment
  • Plan care routines
  • Foster and enhance children's development
  • Foster and enhance children's social and emotional and psychological development

Work experience arrangement:

Practical experience at a local childcare centre and successful completion of the placement is part of this course’s assessment.
