A Message from Professor John Edwards

I am proud to be a member of Kingston College’s Advisory Committee because of its reputation for innovation and quality in international education. Kingston has grown quickly and now has strong programs with students from many parts of the world including strong programs in PR China.

In my view Kingston’s work in preparing students for tertiary studies is particularly important. Also their work and support for training of postgraduate students from developing countries is making a valued contribution.

A Message from Professor John Milton-Smith

Kingston College is to be congratulated on the innovative educational initiatives it is developing, not only in Perth, but also in Paris and various parts of China.

About fifteen years ago, at a planning seminar, I developed a concept for Perth to become ‘an education city’. Why shouldn’t a beautiful city like Perth aspire to be the Boston of the Asia-Pacific Region? While that vision may have been over-ambitious at the time, certainly Perth is now a vibrant destination for students from many countries and is a significant part of a fast-growing global industry.

Students to-day have many choices but few cities offer as many attractive features as Perth. Apart from its wonderful climate and lifestyle, Perth has a superb variety of private and public educational institutions located in close proximity to the city. Standards are high, the cost-of-living is relatively low and the accommodation options are excellent.

As a member of Kingston College’s advisory committee, I am keen to play a part in contributing to innovation and continuous improvement in academic pathways, collaboration and partnerships – both locally and internationally.

The relationship which Kingston College has developed with the Paris Graduate School of Management is particularly exciting and has the potential to build stronger educational, cultural and commercial bridges between Australia, France and China.
